Coretta Scott King
Civil Rights Leader, Peace Advocate, & Wife of Martin Luther King Jr.
Coretta Scott King is best known as the wife of Martin Luther King Jr., but she was so much more. She actively participated in the Civil Rights movement, leading marches and shaping MLK’s beliefs toward peace and justice for all. After his assassination, she remained active, protesting the Vietnam War, the second Iraq War, and advocating for women who suffered during Apartheid (and that’s just scratching the surface).
